Stage 2: Super Civvy Land

I was asked to compose and design a sound scape for an NHS England public information film by Peter Carruthers. His main project brief was to produce an eye catching and original short animated film that would show the difficulties faced by many early service leavers as they transition from military to civilian life. The film had to work with or without sound and be suitable for all ages, as it is intended to be shown in GP surgery and hospital waiting rooms. The film was made using a combination of stop motion (using actors) and flash animation.

I composed the music and SFX sounds in the style of  8bit video games. Below are some example screen shots and previews of parts of the 6 minute film. When listening to the previews, don’t be alarmed of the strange plinky 8bit sounds, they are all part of the animation.
